May the summer be with you! Yes, you read that right; our last CG dance of the 25-26 school year is a Star Wars theme. Not an R2D2 fan?! No worries, come anyway to kick off the summer by dancing away the end of our school year. This dance is for incoming 6th-grade homeschool students through 12th grade. You are encouraged to dress in the Star Wars theme, but it is not required.
$5 per CG student, $10 non-CG student, $20 max, per family **Cash and payable at the door**
Please read below before registering for the CG Dance. By registering for the dance, each dancer agrees to adhere to the CG Code of Conduct and Dress Code.
Cottage Garden Co-Op Dances – Code of Conduct, Safety Protocols, and Dress Code
Safety Protocols:
-Once you enter the building, participants will remain inside until leaving. If you leave the dance, you will not be permitted back in.
-Participants who need to go out to the car will be accompanied by a chaperone.
-No outside food or drink allowed.
-No social media posting of the dance (posting on social media is grounds for removal from the dance).
-No public displays of affection. Examples include, but are not limited to, hand-holding, kissing, caressing, extended embracing, and sitting on each other’s laps. This policy is for students and adult volunteers. Failure to refrain is a call for removal from dance.
-Keep dancing clean. No body contact or movements that could be considered provocative, such as groping, dirty dancing, or twerking. Moshing and body surfing are not allowed.
-No smoking. Chewing tobacco, e-cigs, vaping, and smoking are not allowed. No drinking. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed. No illegal drugs (street or prescribed) are allowed, and no weapons (examples include, but are not limited to, guns and knives).
Code of Conduct
-Violations, including disrespectful or violent behavior, along with all mentioned above, may result in expulsion from the event and any future Cottage Garden dances. For any questions, please reach out to the Director of Cottage Garden.
Casual Dance, Dress Code
Girls: Dresses must be no shorter than the tip of their middle fingertips. Shorts or tights must be worn under skirts or dresses for the dance floor. There should be no slits that extend past the tip of their middle fingers. Dresses must have modest bodices: no necklines and revealing cleavage below the natural bra line, no side or front cut-outs in the dresses below the natural bra line, and no backless dresses.
Guys: Tops—collared or button-down shirts. Pants - Dress Slacks or Dress Jeans. No faded or ripped jeans.
We will have people checking the dress code at the door. You are to remain in dress code throughout the dance, and you will be asked to change and/or leave if your clothing does not remain in dress code.
